The Vision

This ministry is the fulfillment of a vision, which the Lord planted into my heart while residing in Hamden, Connecticut. In January 1999, God spoke to me and informed me that it was now time to move into the Ministry here in Raleigh, North Carolina, which He had shown to me.

After much prayer. I shared God's instructions with my friend, Deacon James Whitner, Jr. After talking and praying, Deacon Whitner informed me that the Lord was leading him to assist me in this endeavor. Deacon Whitner and I then began to pray and seek God's direction regarding the structure of this Ministry and those persons He would have to assist us in formulating this Ministry.

The Genesis

A total of sixty-one persons signed membership documents at the organizational meeting on April 23rd, and were designated as Charter Members of Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church. The Articles of Incorporation for Redeeming Love was signed on April 6, 1999, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The church by-laws were developed and officially adopted on August 3, 1999.

God Is Real

The Church Dedication Service was held on Sunday, November 28, 1999, with Reverend Paul Anderson - First Vice Moderator of the Wake Association, serving as Master of Ceremony. The Reverend Doctor Benjamin K. Watts, Senior Pastor, Shiloh Baptist Church, New London, Connecticut. gave the Dedicatory Address.

Everybody Is Somebody

But God was not through with his blessings. In 2004, the church bought 15 acreage of land on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh NC and started building a 565 seat church. In August 2005, we moved in the new church building and God has added greatly to the membership. And we know that God has a lot more in store for this church.

This Ministry is dedicated to the preaching and teaching of the word of God and ministering to the needs of the people.

This is a Ministry where the unsaved can be saved, the lost can be found, the bound can be set free, the loveless can find love, and the confused can find peace.

We at Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church understand that "love" is the Godly principle and precept upon which the whole Bible stands. We also are aware that "love" is the cord that binds every born-again believer in Christ together. Therefore, we, at Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church, do not only talk love, but love is vividly demonstrated in everything we say and do.
